Last year people on here were sky high about the possibility of landing Jimbo. Now it seems a good amount of people have jumped off the Jimbo train. Is it because he got blown out in one game and lost another? I don't think he suddenly became a bad coach over a years time .

I think it's just mostly Herman love, but there is a theme being pushed that his top end success was merely lucking out with Jameis.

no topic is going to stay hot indefinitely. The Herman love has "died" down a bit too.

1) People are reactionary retards

2) How many threads should we start every day about Jimbo?

3) Herman.

Define cooled down? I can only speak for myself, but I think Herman has passed him, but he's still my #2.

Because as slow as some people are, they are starting to realize what most sane people already knew - that Jimbo should in no way be LSU's next coach.

Because Herman is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

It's the simple fact that he's losing games and we can't have that in a coach.

Same with Herman..he hasn't cooled down quite as much BUT HE LOST A GAME last week.

Sad to say but this is true. No one wants to see a potential HC hire falter. Replacing Miles with an undefeated coach just looks so much better.

Like all these ESPN talking heads are saying, O needs to run the table to get a shot at an interview. With that type of performance expected, Jimbo is looking like hot garbage right now. He is getting beat regularly.

Herman's loss to Navy sullies his luster a bit but if he finishes strong there's gonna be big love for him even though his D gave up 46 to the Midshipmen.

Jimbo's been on the skids since last year's bowl game and the fact that he's running a mediocre team in the ACC. Clemson, Louisville and NC State are eating Jimbo's lunch.

The ranters here are still trying to relive the glory days of the Saban's LSU era. It's time to let the past be over with and move on. Saban's gone, we're not gonna rekindle the magic by nabbing Jimbo. Saban's guys are all head coaches and only Jimbo has had a modicum of success and that was due to Jameis "WeGonDoItBigDen" Winston.

We really need to start banning the pro-Jimbo faction here. Let's move on dot org. It's time to get over Saban and hire a coach outside of his tree who will beat Saban and Bama into the ground.

There is a lot of hot garbage in this post

I don't think most of us you like Jimbo are "trying to recapture Saban's glory days" but rather see a coach, that greatly improved the program he is current working for, has consistently recruited at a very high level, is familiar with the school and culture and has won at a high level. I look at his entire record and not just cherry pick the last few games.

If anything, people want Jimbo because the biggest issue under Miles was the QB and he's recruited and developed them very well. So if you think that rationale is not the best, that's cool and understandable.

If your standard is simply someone that can be Saban "into the ground" good luck with that.

He does not have the sincere enthusiasm that coach O has. Period!
