that Les has just not come out and simply said that "I am staying. Period." If AD is issuing a statement, then Les has to know that it is being discussed within the Athletic Department? This seems to say a great deal.

I have been thinking the same thing. Silence in this case cannot be good in my opinion.

When Alleva said "...we will work to keep it that way." or something along those lines, I thought immediately that something was going on behind the scenes.

Because he either has an offer and is thinking about it, or is expecting an offer so that he can think about it.

Yes, he is in a great position here at LSU, but he has to know that this is his last chance to coach his alma mater. So it is understandable if he is interested in the position.

Because he is what 57? He might be thinking of shutting it down in another 5 years to be with his family. If he can leverage this Michigan thing into a nice raise who can blame him.

Les will never have more. Why not use it ?
