Fickell first by a small margin.
Aranda closed the gap significantly this year on the next tier.
Venables seems like a desperation move for OU to me. Great DC, not sure he's a HC. Would be tough to feel confident riding into the SEC transition with him at the helm.

OU loves to go and hire coordinators as their head coach Switzer, Stoops, Riley. It could be another HC, but it doesn't have to be to do a great job at OU.

Aranda and Fickell are 1 and 1a.
Of all the coaches I thought LSU had a legit shot at (did not think we could ever get Kelly) I wanted one of these 2.

Does Stoops have any desire to step back in? I’d probably take him with a protege coordinator over Venables and maybe Aranda too, seems less risky.
