I'm for mike leach keep chavis. We might be better off.

yeah we can be on probation in 2 years

Mullen would be a much better option and keep Chavis

Leach would have JJ locked in a tool shed before spring practice was over

I actually believe we'll make a big splash. The ante has been raised in the West with Saban.
I'll go with Del Rio. He wanted the job last time. His future is tenuous with the Jaguars. He would probably get a pay raise by coming here.
If not him, I think it will be another coach closely associated with the NFL.

I think he did that as a joke. The problem was his dad worked for espn. He was a good coach and a good recruiter.

Hope: Saban comes back (will never happen)
Who I'd be o.k. with: Mullen, Pelini, Del Rio (
Who we'll actually get: HDN, Tubbs, one of the Bowdens

id be leery of JDRio - no college experience, no recruiting experience....could be a collosol BUST at the college level

He would be a good oc but he isn't even close to being ready to run a team like this. No way in hell. I don't want TT's rejects

Did I miss something...do we have a job opening at LSU....until then...can we stop such speculation?

If this is what they come up with, I will disown LSU.

Besides this...does anyone actually think leach could come in here and win a nc within the next two years?? Talent is there to do it but that dude is not ready for the spotlight.

I think if he leaves it will be Pelini.

Don't think this nutcase is ready either. Wish he was still dc but he's not ready for this type job. This is the main reason I don't want miles gone, no one better than him to hire. Wish we wouldn't have missed on muschamp. If we coul have gotten him I would be all for it. Him as hc and Weiss as oc would have been badass

To elaborate, in case gotygers is unaware, Texas Tech was put on 2 years probation for recruiting violations while Leach was the head coach. Any chance of Leach getting a head gig anytime soon died in the last few days. To be fair, it wasn't just football that violated these rules.
