re: Who does Tulane get for a football coach?

Tulane fans will be very excited!! I received some very crazy news from my friend(arse Ath dir @Tulane). There is alot of interest in this job that a couple of names would shock people. be patient... they are willing to pay 2-2.75 million/yr for a coach!! WOW!! Big 12 is also involved. Tulane will be accepted within two years-wants to show commitment with this hire and other upgrades(stadium,etc..)My friend has no clue I post here, so I will not divulge any specifics that could jeopardize his position.

BTW, New coach will be in place sometime early December. Only name I heard thats been mentioned on here is Mike Leach.

Malcolm Glazer, Owner of Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Bucs,is heavily involved.
Manchester U. is the top sports franchise in the world(1.86 Billion). I guess he can spare some loose change.

Word is Mike Leach to Tulane.

There is a reason why Leach's name is not anywhere else on the planet like it was just a week or less ago. Word is that Tulane AD is in Hawaii with the team now after delaying his flight a couple days. There was no way he was going without a deal, right? That fan base would run him out of town like they did their coach. Looking at the clues, they have someone, maybe Leach, locked up. Expect two major announcements between Nov 28 and Dec 23. Coach and something else. More likely closer to the beginning of Dec. for the second one but they might push it back a little bit depending on the date of the hire. Low chance they could wait until January. Tulane making moves.

Glazer is broke. If he's involved, TU is worse than I thought. Good luck to the Greenies though. They certainly need it.

Glazer just committed about $5Million or more to the new stadium as did Benson. Hell, I wanna be broke too if that is what their broke means.
