As the subject line ask, who are the top 10 sure fire can't miss coaches in the NCAA. That if hired would consitently have the program in contention for league and National Championships. Obviously, the program has a lot to do with success so let's say for programs with a legitimate chance to win a CFPO.
Current College Coaches that are constantly ranked toward the top by most publications.
1 Saban
2 Urban
3 Harbough
4 Dantonio
5 Stoops
6 Fisher
7 Snyder- top old?
8 Patterson
9 Cutcliff
10 Briles, Shaw, Patterson?
Spurrier before he quit.
Are all of them home run hires for any program?
What about these SEC guys?
Les, Richt, Sumlin, Gus, Mullens, Freeze, McEllwain, Bret

you mean UF-era spurrier, right? His record at SC:
7-5
8-5
6-6
7-6
7-6
9-5
11-2
11-2
11-2
7-6
2-4 (in 15 before retiring)
He had a 3 year run that was astounding by SC standards but I would hardly say they were "ranked toward the top" during his tenure there.

How can you honestly include David Cutcliffe with the rest of these champions? He couldn't even win a division title with Eli Manning as his QB.

I'm not saying it wasn't. But come on, this guy isn't on par with the likes of such company.

Maybe, just maybe he has gotten a lot better and learned from his time at Ole Miss. He is at Duke and is winning a lot of games there which is remarkable. Prior to coming to LSU Nick Saban have not won any championships he quickly established himself as one of the best coaches while at LSU and has improved since his time there as evidenced at Bama. He may not be a top 10 surefire can't miss type of coach but cut is definitely a very good coach and he would do extremely well now at a program such as LSU. I would not want him at Bama just because of his ties to Tennessee and that is me being a dumbass fan for not wanting him
