which one of our 3 new coaches will be the "motivator"

everyone wanted coach o not just for his recruiting capabilites, but because he would fire up the players and get in thier face. Do any of our current hires fit that bill? I know moffit is a one man wrecking crew but it would be better coming from a coach.
I miss the old days where you would see coaches thumping players in the chest and get in thier face to pump them up in pregame. Gettin motivated is a big part. Utah sure had it agaist bama.

The biggest problem with our defense this year, IMHO, was the failure of our players to take their jobs seriously enough to practice properly and to execute properly. They seemed undisciplined, and full of the belief that, having just won a NC, all they had to do was strap on a gold helmet and opposing offenses would crumble in front of them. Not beating this out of them was the only significant failure of the defensive coaching staff. Now that we have been reminded, once again, that a football team is comprised of lots of immature, undisciplined adolescents, it's good to see Les hiring some hardasses.

From what I know about Chavis, it will be him. He won't be on the field chewing them out but you can bet there will be hell to pay asap.

According to the Rant, Saban was too hard on his players and Miles is too soft on his. Can't win.

I say it will be all 3 of them. A lot of people don't realize ole Peveto was a real in your face and rah rah type of coach and that didn't work so what more do you want? Peveto was always the loudest coach at the LSU practice fields and was really intense on the sidelines.

Teach the uber-talented players their assignments, teach fundamental tackling techniques, make effective game plans, call a good game, put players in position to be effective................and the great plays that result will be motivation enough.

I thought Chavis was an on the field DC as opposed to in the booth up high. Seems like I saw him on the field during games on T.V. when watching Tennessee.

He was on the field starting with the 2001 SEC Title game until the Mississippi St game this season. Before and after that he was in the booth.
