When will they announce Coach O as new head coach?

"There are a lot of unsubstantiated rumors about LSU's coaching search. We will not comment on this speculation and are currently focused on our game against Texas A&M. There is a process in place for the search, and we will take our time to make sure the best decision is made for the future of the program."
LSU athletic director Joe Alleva later his thoughts a bit later.
"Contrary to media reports, there has been no decision made on who will be the next football coach at LSU. [Interim coach Ed] Orgeron has done a great job of leading this team since taking over in late September and we are pulling hard for the Tigers tonight against Texas A&M. As we stated earlier, we are going to take our time and make sure we select the right person to lead our football program."

What's sad is fans, media, and boosters will approve of the decision.

Once he is HC and he loses a game similar to UF next year. They will never want to see him again.

But what they don't realize is you're stuck with him for at least another 3 years at that point with a shite load of built-in excuses for him.
LSU then drifts further and further behind other programs in the SEC in terms of relevance because that would mean no championships of any sort in a 9-10 year span.
LSU would be a mediocre program.
We have to nail this hire.

Every coach loses fricking games, even ones they should win. Even the mighty nick saban loses a game sometimes. Jimbo fisher lost 3 games this year and could have lost a couple more very easily. He lost to north Carolina (Larry fedora), louisville (who tom herman destroyed) and clemson. Tom herman has also lost a couple games and got lucky he didn't lose another couple. He lost to navy (yeah that's right, the us naval academy) and smu (no need to expand on them bc they suck bad). Hell, tulane gave houston all they could handle too. Idk, I just know that if lsu does give coach o a shot, even if only a short contract, at least we have seen that this team plays hard for him and believes in him. He did turn this team into a better product in a restricted period of time and under intense pressure and stress. LSU could do a bit better than O in my opinion yeah, but we could do a hell of a lot worse too. That's my 2 cents.
