What would hiring Stud signify about Miles?

We are one of the most enviable offensive teams in the country, and it is well known that a QB and and OC are the only ingredients keeping us from making a real run at the whole enchilada in 2011.

Rumors are the despite interests and likely interviews with numerous promising OC candidates, that Miles is actually considering Coach Stud, who based on performance of the area he was responsible for is a very underwhelming option.

It would downright piss off many.

Assume that this is a real possibility for a minute...

Does this mean that Miles wants to be head/program coach and defacto OC all at once? That he wants someone who he can make conform to his system?

Does this mean that Miles really think that after the Tiger Nations incessant complaints over the last painful 3 years could actually be appeased by hiring Stud?

It is very simple....if he hires Stud, he is just looking for a puppet so he can pull the strings. Not brain surgery people!

Even if it is only a 1% chance, and Miles is actually giving it consideration, that worries the shite our of me that this incredibly important hiring decision would be screwed up.

I agree it is not likely....sure hope so anyway

last painful 3 years
to be fair, the last 2 have been horrendous. in 08, we moved the ball pretty good, just threw alot of pick6s- so depending who you blame for that... (08, LSU was 30th in pts/gm)

but to answer the original question, when jimbo was here, the offense did pretty well. i dont know if it was all jimbo/part jimbo/ no jimbo, but i cant fathom that all of a sudden miles needs and wants all the offensive coordinating control. so that leads me to believe he either: can run the offense(unlikely IMO), or allow someone to do well with it (like i am speculating he did with jimbo)

This would be by far the most upsetting hire of any. I would rather see someone else hired as offensive line coach, and Stud be sent packing, but realize that likely won't happen. I would rather see BG be given the chance, but that's far from my first choice also. To me, if either BG or Stud is named OC, this has just been a big show & a waste of time for people with credentials like Fuente to be interviewed.

This by far the most ridicoulus rumor I have heard on the rant. If Miles is dumb enough to erode all the goodwill he has earned this past month by promoting Studrawa then, you know what I have no words I just won't believe he is that dumb.

That Miles puts loyalty ahead of common sense and does not care to return to Atlanta anytime soon.

LSU should've been playing in Arizona in January...not Texas.
