What makes the Clemson job so coveted?

Is it for the fact they have a good recruiting base and a softer conference schedule alone what makes it so coveted?
Also, according to Jimmy Sexton (take this with a grain of salt) many high profile coaches are not exactly chomping at the bit for SEC jobs because of the head coaching and competitiveness of the conference.
History proves this a program that time and time again has failed to take it to the next level.

I think you answerred your own questions
but it is the closest to an SEC caliber school without having to be in the SEC as you can get
matter of fact I wish clemson would have joined the SEC instead of south carolina

Herbstriet said that the Clemson job had to be the most coveted because it was a school that had an SEC mentality towards football, but has an ACC schedule.
