He will mostly be in charge of the passing game. I have no idea how that translates to an offensive scheme.

ugh.

I'm not advocating FOR E. I am just not melting.

But, E took over the offense. He did not install one. Also, I think we all understand the limitations of the qb we've had.

I love Etling and appreciate him. But, he was not going to be able to win that game.

I'll wait and see. IF it doesn't work, LSU will be replacing a lot of people.

I'll cheer for it to work. I'll be realistic if it doesn't. I have no power to change it (yeah...yeah. I know "we can wail and cry and they will change. I don't believe that)

yeah but here's the thing. SE has only worked with the Crowton, Crowton-Miles, and Cam offenses since 2010

we know what his familiarity base is so we have some expectations of the style. if he tries to go too far beyond these offenses, there are going to be major concerns about his comfort/expertise level with a new style

plus, the reason O wants him is to run "that" offense. it's a comfort thing

A good offensive coordinator doesn't say, "well I don't have a QB, so we will get em next year." He becomes creative and forces points by being unpredictable. As the interim, he had no pressure and 2 weeks to design calls for that game. Not asking for 20 trick plays, but misdirection and a couple surprises wouldn't have hurt.

The one O can understand. Run right, run left run up the middle pass to the sideline.

I didn't hire him. I wouldn't have hired him.

I just will not cry about him being hired.

He will succeed and I'll be happy.

Or, he will not succeed and we can have the fun of a CC board looking for a new head coach again.

It really is that simple.

It was said that he used Cam’s playbook last year and he hasn’t called plays from his own playbook in 20 years. A lot has changed since then. So, does anybody actually know what kind of offense he runs?

i read earlier on www.dandydon.com that he was one of the first to use spread at Georgia as OC

what?

in 91-93?

so he was copying Mumme while Mumme was at Valdosta state creating the spread?

or were they copying Rich Rodriguez before he had even developed the spread option while he was at Glenville State?

Age isn’t the issue. Idk why everyone keeps throwing that out there. E is a solid recruiter and a lot of those kids love him.

I just base my thoughts on his last few games against defenses with a pulse. And they don’t look good.

They will be installing a West Coast Offense. USC Style.

this is going to be my guess at what O wants SE to do

we can likely adapt Cam's playbook to this philosophy

we likely do not have the personnel to run it. our OL is going to have to be dominant and perfect and CEH will have to be reggie. we lack the TEs and FBs (a very underrated part of those offenses) to run it, too

Right. All we need is 2 Heisman QBs, Reggie Bush, bunch of freak WRs and TEs

Also an OC like Norm Chow who helped create the offense

well we have the huge WRs

the thing about USC was Chow was in the fricking Matrix when it came to screens. he always knew when to call a backbreaking screen

Whatever Coach O tells him to run. That is why he will be hired as OC.
