What is Saban's relationship with Bill Battle like?

I would have to think that Saban respects the hell out of Bill Battle since he was also a coach.
But Saban may be jealous of Battle's money. He founded CLC and is rolling in the cash.

Nah, but we could provide some background. Nick & Skip Bertman did not get along. While Nick "loved" LSU when he left for Miami he didn't like answering to anyone and both were happy to be rid of each other. You had Miami offering total control to a control freak so the money bump was just lagniappe. I really do think it's important for a guy like Saban to either have no boss or a total pushover for a boss.

Battle and Moore played together for Bryant. You can be assured Saban was on board with Battle's hiring. Not to say they have the same relationship as Moore and Saban, but Battle is an accomplished businessman and an Alabama man. They will be. All right.
