LSU insiders with very detailed info. Not just random posters. Established people.
I’m still holding though because ultimately we’re just staring at words on a screen. I need to see him on the podium.

Pete Thamel's report from this morning is where the confidence is coming from.

Your one of the group on your board making fun of LSU in regards to him coming here. 7

Why would any ole miss fan have any hope at all? There is absolutely zero reason for a coach to wait to sign his extension. This is the one reason that’s big enough to bank at a minimum he is leaving you guys. It maybe Florida or LSU but for sure it isn’t Ole Miss.
Sucks to be a rebel

Nothing has been signed because Lane, as a state employee, would have to resign at Ole Miss first. So what is the confidence based on
Absolutely nothing prevents him from signing with you though, and he hasn't. So what gives you confidence?

No confidence or expectations here. Just going to sit back and see what happens

You would be stupid to think they are out of it. When it gets silent, thats when backchannel deals are done.
We’ve moved onto drink, fisch and sumrall

Well our offense is a juggernaut so there’s that

Has Lane signed your school’s offer, and why would OM be anything more than a stepping stone? It always was. You guys need to come to terms with that. He was always leaving.
I keep hearing this but you do realize the main advantage lsu has is it's the only real game in town. If there was another SEC school located in Louisiana LSU would be exactly what ole Miss is. Prior to Saban, LSU was ole miss. One coach turned it around and set up the foundation for what lsu became. Brian Kelly was a top 10 coach in football and I wonder if he is glad he left notre dame? Maybe now since he's getting paid a lot of money by lsu to go golfing but other than that, bet he wishes he'd stayed.
LSU is an awesome job but it's still not at the level of a Bama, UGA or Ohio state.

Bryan Kelly was a lazy chump who takes vacations in the middle of a season. Just because it’s LSU doesn’t mean you’ll have success without putting in the work. It means you have everything around you to succeed if you work HARD. Kelly thought he could come here and half arse it and get it done but it doesn’t work that way anywhere. Even after Saban built the foundation at Alabama he still worked relentlessly every season to be able to win at that level and still failed from time to time. LSU is every bit of those jobs it just needs the right leader.

No. LSU won the SEC 3 times between Ole Miss’ last title and Nick’s arrival. They also posted a 19-10-1 record vs Ole Miss from 1970 until 1999. 6 of your 10 wins came during the 90s, the worst decade in LSU football history.
We were most decidedly a level above Ole Miss before Saban.

What is LSU's confidence based on?
I’ll be honest, my confidence comes from a few areas… 1 being that LSU is just that much better. 2 Nick Saban on gameday, basically laid it out why LC should and he will take LSU job. HS recruiting plus Portal.. at OM it’s just portal.

It seems like real damage is being done on a return to Ole Miss
So we are 50/50 with UF

Bye oh thanks for your coach

It’s called BDE- sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t, but either way you lay it on the table and if you fail you nut up and move on

Everything. It all adds up. He didnt sign extension. Family in Baton Rouge. Real contract numbers that LSU is willing to spend. Everyone else just says ole miss and FL will match but nothing verified. Saban's comments.
