His legacy could be great there. People here will always question if he simply took over Saban's machine and won. UM is his chance to shed that albatross.
Aren't people like u just going to say the same thing if he wins at UM too?
Your pretty much laying the foundation for that of argument when u say things like

UM, on the other hand, is a top notch, flagship school with a deep history so recruiting there will be much easier

We return 20 of 22 starters, and most of those will have at least another yr left.
Nearly our whole secondary was freshmen this season. Our 2 starting CBs were on IR. The defense needs BIG bodies for DL. We have a couple, but depth is needed. A LB or 2 could help, but really could use a lights our safety IMO. We might still have a 4* CB waiting besides.
ON offense this yr was tip of iceberg. We need a nice tall possession receiver. Doesnt need to be blazing fast, just to catch everything. Denard will get better as 2nd yr starter, and have Gardner who is a real nice prospect. We lost Hart to Bama, but still might have a good RB INC. A good FB and big back could help. Always can use more OL, but we do have some.
Anyways what I see when I see our team.

I don't see a "D" anywhere in there. That's a problem for y'all.

Right underneath the number of returning players that you quoted, I went ahead and gave an overview of what Les would be looking at for his first season.
Also something was just pointed on another board when I was browsing, and that is we havent actually ever paid for a top notch staff before. Will be nice to maybe land a few skilled recruiters.
Brian on mgoblog broke it down on main page if you wanna check it out. Kind of sad really to think that we didnt all these yrs. Glad to know times are changing.

No. I think Les is a good coach and did well at OSU given what he had and brought them up.
If he can restore UM to national prominence (Big Ten Title or NC), then he'll prove to me at least that he's a great coach. No questions asked. I think he's a very good coach already, but not great. That time of result at UM would vault him to that status to me.

then you people were foolish to fire the coach that signed and brought those guys to your program.

I think that if RR got rid of Greg Robinson, he may have had a better D.
I'm not saying that it was reason being used to send RR out, but it could put things into perspective.

It is easier to maintain a program than to build one. Thats why Saban is a God and Miles is still not fully trusted by LSU fans.
Miles building a program at Michigan, I doubt. Bo's days are different. Michigan is not the only game in town in the Big 10 and also it does not have the recruiting base any more.
