It seems in retrospect, Gus may have been the brains of the operation. I think it would be a good hire.

I have met and talked to Gus. He is as organized as anyone I've ever met and he seems to surround himself with good assistants. I am in the minority but I'd be ok with him taking the Arkansas job. He will be successful wherever he goes because he has yet to be unsuccessful at any level. He has a formula and it works. Gus will be a successful major DI coach soon and any program would be lucky to have him.

...i listed the no-brainer reasons i thought malzahn should be the logical choice for arkansas. i never said he was going to be hired. there is a big difference. go back and re-read the thread.
...and from a personal view, i still think malzahn is the best fit for arkansas.

this wasn't a prediction. where did i say anything close to "I predict"? some of you guy's reading comprehension skills are in the cellar.
You don't have to type the exact fricking words for it to be a prediction.

...got a sneaking feeling malzahn may be the leading candidate for auburn.
You just said you have a feeling that Gus is the leading candidate. Meaning he has the highest percentage to land the Auburn job. Meaning you believe he will land the Auburn job because he has the highest percentage.
Get it now?

..let me compare.
1) i have a feeling that Gus is the leading candidate at auburn.
2) i predict Gus is going to be the coach at auburn.
no...not anywhere near the same statement.
c'mon dude, if you can't comprehend and interpret English any better than you seem to, you should really check in to attending your nearest local community college. they don't cost an arm and a leg, and local dummies are always welcome.

We get it. Logical thinking isn't your strong point.
1) I have a feeling the Texans will win the Super Bowl.
2) I believe the Texans will win the Super Bowl.
3) I anticipate the Texans will win the Super Bowl.
4) I predict the Texans will win the Super Bowl.
They are called words. They have meanings. Different words can have the same meaning. How they are put in a sentence defines what they mean.
Now go grab a thesaurus and frick off.

how receptive are auburn fans to the thought of malzahn retuning as head coach?
I will drink bleach if we hire Malzahn.

he knows the players and the admin knows his capabilities well.
That is part of the issue. He cannot scout. The players he picked are not good. Kyle Frazier is the worst QB ive ever seen. He needs to stay away from Auburn.

...ok, Plato.
i used the words "think" and "predict"
as defined by Webster, the world's foremost authority on the English laguage...
think: a) To reason about or reflect on; ponder:
predict: a) To state, tell about, or make known in advance, especially on the basis of special knowledge.
shall i continue with your other four words that are not synonyms?
now eat me, get you a GED, and then go to college.
