ND would be crazy to take Butch Davis. He is not that good and not 1/2 the guy he was since his nervous breakdown.

LSU wanted him pretty bad....so what is your point?

Have you considered he actually might be better having gone through that tough era?

21-3 at half and they drop the game at home...That was a complete meltdown...
up to that game, UNC beat 5 ranked teams in a row.

I am nervous about opening next season against them

Yeah I saw it and the UNC folks are not thrilled with that debacle. That said, I wish LSU had a QB like Wilson, he's solid.

Those 5 ranked teams were:

Uconn
ECU
VT
Duke
Miami

Yaaawn

I'm going to that game and I think we take care of business in Atlanta.

That's not a conflict my man. Sounds to me like you're going to have a great view of the Tigers whacking UNC

I'm not saying Butch wouldn't be an upgrade at ND or that he wouldn't be a good coach for the program.

I live in NC, go to a lot of UNC games and know a ton of their fans. For the most part they are satisfied w/ Davis, but there are plenty of "nega-Heels" that would like to see him gone.

It's just interesting how the grass always looks greener to people when they look at someone else's coach.

Don't be. They are used to starting out very slow in the ACC.

For Butch Davis going to ND, it is being talked about on the radio here. They think he would be a great candidate and would restore ND back to the glory days.

Butch Davis

Would be the first coach I interviewed, if I were the AD of a BCS school looking to fill a head football coaching vacancy.

Notre Dame has done, and could do, ALOT worse than hiring Butch Davis to right the ship and start looking for an outstanding young coach in his early 40s (*cough*, Dooley, *cough*) for 5 or 6 years down the line.
