This was stated by Orgeron when Aranda left, then Pelini was hired. Again, had Raymond wanted to become DC this past season I am sure Orgeron would have awarded him the job, just as he did Kevin Faulk as RB coach.

Corey Raymond is a very good CB coach. Orgeron even brought in a safeties coach to help him focus moreon the CB's. I wish Raymond all the best at Florida, but he's now the enemy when Florida plays LSU. He chose to leave, Ive no doubt had he wanted to remain on staff, an opportunity would have been available. It was time for him to focus more on coaching his position than being the recruiting coordinator with Wilson coming on board. Mr. Raymond, Thanks you for your service to LSU.

Corey was a good recruiter but average DB coach. Our pass defense the past 3 seasons was atrocious.

All Corey wanted was more money. That’s the basics of it. Titles don’t mean shite. It’s about financial respect. End of story

Corey Raymond was under contract until February 2023, at over $600k a year. So he was under contract for next season.

Everyone from the 2019 staff has been removed. They have gotten rid of anyone that has been at LSU for more than 1 season

So far...

I get the distinct impression that the post-2019 coaches are having to audition while the pre-2019 had the green dot over the heart when Woodward and CBK sat down after inking the contract.

I mean, most of coaching staff had already been replaced before BK anyway...

You continue to prove that you are the lowest IQ poster this board has to offer.

If Raymond wants to be a DC, he'll be at Florida 2 years max and then will have to take a G5 DC or lower level P5.

that's all true but no pass defense does well with a dline comparable to ours. we've had horrible pass rush.

Our secondary was out of position letting guys run wide open far too often. Has nothing to do with the D line. Raymond is not some all world technician and teacher.
