I don't know where it came from but I can tell you it is RIGHT ON THE MONEY!! This was supposed to have been hush hush but since ESPN radio reported it I guess it leaked out. I can confirm Walker DC: Orgeron DL and recruiting coordinator: Willis LB's. Orgeron wanted to be DC but Miles wanted Walker so he talked Orgeron into being DL coach and gave him the title of recruiting coordinator. I don't claim to be below par but I am neighbors with an LSU coach.

Didn't a lot of people think Vegas was as legit as belowpar?

Unfortunately, there are a bunch of people who want really, really bad to be seen as an insider. So, they take a guess and hope that it sticks.

It's pathetic really.

How do you know verbal agreements were not in place with Walker and Willis at the time? hmmm...

anything is possible, but then you'd have to believe that belowpar was not on top of the situation since he consistently said Chavis was the #1 choice. Additionally, belowpar said that Chavis was the only coach offered.

So, I'd say it was a stretch to think that vegas knew more than belowpar.

Verbal agreements are not offers you can sign, plus the news of Chavis broke after Walker had decided to pursue the NMSU job with a 2nd interview.

Vegas' story did "evolve" over time. He went from "Talks to an LSU assistant all the time", to "My brother coaches at LSU", to "I am neighbors with an LSU coach." That, in and of itself, is not mysterious. Let's assume he's a brother, and he jumped the gun in admitting that. He could have backed off of that later to avoid the usual ranter, "Who is your brother?". I surmised that he was, at the very least, being somewhat coy. I also stated that he was representing himself as being Crowton's brother, if you reviewed a number of his posts, though I couldn't confirm that Crowton even has a brother. At the very least, the inference was that he was getting his information from Crowton.

He doesn't post alot, and his information, particularly on QBs, was usually dead on.

However, he went out on a limb for the Walker/Orgeron/Willis being a done deal. That is a huge dent in his credibility. It may have been part of a deliberate misinformation campaign on the part of the coaching staff. Hell, for all I know, vegas4LSU is an alias used by Crowton. If so, good job on the Operational Deception plan.

Miles knew he was changing DC's after the Georgia game...anyone claiming that Miles wasn't changing DC's didn't have a clue.

belowpar was saying Chavis when all others were saying Walker.

I agree with moneyg...people were trying to say things in the hope that it stuck.
