Texas should hire Crowton , have a year of good offense. Then fire him for someone else.

If Mack was smart he would hire Dana Holgerson from Okie lite the second he became available to hire.

how come I've never met you with Chip or Megan at any of our SEC events? Do you ever come into Lavaca?

I'd take Greg Davis here at LSU. I don't see the downside in that.

I bet we would be willing ot pony up more money due to pure desire to have him out

Have you compared the athletic budgets between the 2 schools?

LSU wants no part of a bidding war with Texas.

I'm hearing no way in hell. There were some apparent personal differences between he and Mack while @ TxTech. I dont think Mack thinks too highly of Leach

If we end up in the Cap One vs. Michigan St., I'll call in and help you ride Nils' case to prep him for another 1995 Indy Bowl style beat down.

That's why I am torn between Cap One and Cotton. 3 hour drive and bragging rights over the aggies would be nice, but bragging rights over my co-host might be even better.

I haven't used that term since. It is dangerous.

I went to lavaca for the arkansas game. I was wearing the mexican wrestler mask in the back room
I occasionally have to work on saturdays, but I haven't had to work a saturday morning since the season started. I'll tune in though, I'd love to hear the show

one bad year is nothing. the best years on offense came under davis.

The guy had plenty of bad years. The good years came under Vince Young and Colt McCoy, two of the best college QBs in recent memory.

AND Davis managed to screw up with Vince in 04 and with McCoy in 06.

Davis' offense before they went to the spread (NOT HIS CHOICE, EITHER) was pathetic. The Chris Simms, Cedric Benson days were truly horrendous. They had moments, but those teams dramatically underachieved for their talent level.

When MACK made Davis change the offense to fit Vince, things took off. Colt McCoy took over the same offense and kept it rolling.

Those players masked the truth. Davis is not a great OC. His offenses consistently underachieve, excepting a few years when he has ELITE talent at QB.
