USC OC Tee Martin emerging as a candidate to become next Tennessee Head Coach per VQ

After talking to some people tonight, there is some movement for Tee Martin and I'm told Tee is positioning himself behind the scenes in the wake of this fiasco today. Also, as some of you have noted, I got confirmation tonight late during the Nation that Peyton was totally on board with this hire and had pushed for former Vols to get behind the hire this afternoon. If Tennessee has trouble getting other sitting HC's to the table then Martin and someone like Kevin Steele do become more of a factor.

Better hope he doesn't have any skeletons in the closet.

It's about time man. The DNC didn't listen to me about nominating Biden and look what happened. Y'all better listen to me Tennessee and hire Tee Martin.

That's what ya'll deserve for the phony moralizing. A career assistant who's HC record looks up to Ed O's Ole Miss tenure.

So basically Tennessee football is in the same position as LSU basketball was when we hired Johnny Jones. An ex-great (Dale Brown/Peyton Manning) has his hand in the program and is lobbying for one of his buddies to get the job instead of letting the coaching search progress naturally

Shut up. No one is "listening to you" about tee martin. He's been on UTs watch list for a long time now.
I think he'll be risking a lot by taking the gig. UT fans will eat him alive if doesnt succeed. No HC experience to even prove he will.

At this point I think the best thing we can do is name Cutcliffe as coach and hire Tee as offensive coordinator and HC in waiting.

We should get a posse together and storm Gruden's house. Force him to take the job. Then storm Peyton's house and force him to take the OC position.
The mob will make this hire. This is a revolution.

There ya go UT. This would be a tremendous hire given the last 12 hours

Tee Martin would be a good choice.

I mean no way he turns it down if offered, but this is too big of a job for him right off the bat.

Is Tee Martin a good coach/coordinator?

Yes, please. I'll even help him pack

Nah, man, Peyton Manning fricking walks on water. Never mind all of the cracks in his squeaky-clean, fake-arse facade over the years. He fricking walks on water.
