O'Brien and Fisher would be solid bets on those odds

That would be the first time that someone just won a national championship up and moved schools, right?
Jackie Sherrill won an Alabama National Title before he came to A&M.

I assume you're trolling and know that he won his title with Pitt (while Mark May was blowing dudes)

Doesn't O'brien have like a 13 million dollar buyout to coach in college? No one will pay that.

continuing on the Wallace Hall mess... LINK
quote:
Cigarroa expressed discomfort with some of Hall's lines of inquiry, particularly the regent's demands to see Powers' personal travel records. He said Hall's involvement in talks with University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban about moving to UT-Austin — about which Powers was not notified — "was wrong."

And where does his new grandbaby live? In Texas.
The end of this article lays the predicate for Saban to do a 180 and take the Texas job:

Where did you see that in the article? He said he was there with the baby rocking it and hasn't had "a chance to go back" since seeing the baby on Sunday. If the baby was born in Texas no one would expect him to "go back" in 3 days. Also, it would have been everywhere that he was in Texas over the weekend.
The baby was born in Tuscaloosa.
Some people need to let this go. He's not going to Texas. We need to move on.

Now his granddaughter lives in Texas??
Jesus Christ. People just make shite up out of whole cloth.
The baby - Amaleigh - was born to Nicholas Saban and his wife.
Both graduates of Alabama, who live in Tuscaloosa. She is a Director with the Tuscaloosa Habitat for Humanity who partners with the Saban's charity - Nick's Kids - to rebuild houses for low income families who lost their home in the tornado.
Do some of you idiots not have Google?

Probably germans but UT has an 8 member search committee: 8-man committee to aid Texas AD
It took a while for "former U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein" to soak in.
Mike&Mike are currently having a blast with this. I'm sure UT will be the butt of many national jokes by Friday.
Hook 'em Horns.

Included in the group tasked with finding Mack Brown's successor are two members of the UT System Board of Regents, Steve Hicks and Robert Stillwell, as well as former Regent Robert Rowling. They're joined on the committee by UT professor Michael Clement, U.S. federal judge Ricardo Hinojosa, former Exxon Mobil vice president Charles Matthews, Capital Royalty chairman Charles Tate and Pamela Willeford, former U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein and former chair of the Texas Higher Education Coordinator Board.

Tier 1 List:
Saban: Sexton did his job and got him a pay raise
Meyer: Would fold like wet paper
Miles: Won't be asked
Harbaugh: laughed incredulously
Malzahn: Maybe...he seems pretty happy though (he would be the best of the lot though)
Fisher: Maybe
Tomlin: A Super Bowl winner stepping down to college? From Pittsburg known for their long term loyalty to coaches? Doubtful
imo
I like James Franklin for the job from everyone in the OP list.

No need. They have real sources here. The
"timeline" is still in play, as any moving timeline would be.

Chip Kelly
Dabo Swinney
Should be included on the list.

Why isn't David Shaw on one of the lists? he's the most accomplished coach out there at the highest level program from which Texas could pull. I think he'd be perfect for Texas. He's cerebral, not annoying, and extremely accomplished.
It's not some silly "black thing" as Strong and Franklin (extremely annoying) are there.

He probably should be. He's got a lot in common with the Tier 1 list, such as the fact that none of them are going to be the next coach.
