I'm old enough to know that the Saints have been in a different division for almost 15 years now yet still burn up about getting stomped by the Niners at a time when everyone in the league beat up on the saints

It's happening

quote:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons and 49ers have requested permission to interview Patriots OC Josh McDaniels for their head-coaching vacancies. McDaniels is a hot name for coaching vacancies now that the stink has worn off his name from his two seasons as the Broncos' head coach from 2009-2010 when he composed an 11-17 record. McDaniels will certainly be looking for the perfect fit since he can't afford another mess-up. The next head-coaching job he takes may very well be his last. In Atlanta, he'd have two or three dynamite building blocks in Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and potentially LT Jake Matthews. McDaniels also has a history with GM Thomas Dimitroff and assistant GM Scott Pioli from their New England days.

Yeah, if I'm a Falcons fan I'm not liking those options.

If I'm hiring someone this offseason, I would hire Rex Ryan as HC under the condition that I can get Marc Tressman as the offensive coordinator

Rex Ryan is by far the best option on the market.

Agree totally, that combo would win some games.

I'm not interested in hiring a HC with a worse record than the guy we just fired. Not to mention a loose cannon.

Hes got a hell of a resume and always has legit defenses. Offense has always been the issue, but with the weapons that ATL has, Offense would never be an issue

Give him 2 years and a say in the defensive roster moves and they'd be scary. Especially with a decent OC

I'd believe this if they fired Dimitroff's stupid arse.
