Questionable. Surely it's a likely fact he was hired based on a perceived ability to make great hires. There is no evidence he was hired based on specific names.

I agree with what you said earlier about not judging based on just two weeks, but clearly there is a very loud, kneejerk portion of fans that does not. Me: Reached a settlement on a case. I should make close to 50k from it.

Not surprisingly, they are the very ones defending a hiring process that was founded in part on unverifiable and expedient fantasy. No matter what childish dross you spew, Alleva was incompetent in that respect. Hopefully, it will somehow turn out to be okay and O will win championships.

Kiss my arse. I'm not one of the ones hoping the fricking program crumbles to the ground because I didn't want O. But I'm also not going to be a sunshine pumper like you, either. We shouldn't have issues with QB recruits right now, but we do. We do because of our coach making some bad decisions. I sincerely hope he gets things on track starting with this OC hire, and that he can get Narcisse back on board and get one last shot at Akers.
But the perception problems in recruiting aren't on any fan, even the true doom and gloomers. The recruits aren't complaining about fans and message boards. They are questioning the direction of the offense and whether Craig and Juluke, the guys the actually have a connection with, will have jobs after the bowl. Saying that is just a bullshite, sunshine pumping cop out.

When O sat down with Alleva, Kiffin was THE hire. There was no back-up plan. There was no page with Canadas name on it. Canada had not been contacted. Because Ed couldn't tell him, he was the fall back guy
O couldn't contact anyone, until LK confirmed he wasn't coming. Because he had nothing to offer anyone. NOTHING. That was until 3 days ago.

Do you not see the irony in claiming, on the one hand, that you "chose not to melt down" and then, on the other hand, posting juvenile, profanity laced tirades deploying triple exclamation points in the style of a thirteen year old girl's text message?
Further, it isn't melting down to justifiably point out that Alleva hired O in part based on flimsy assurances about his ability to bring in certain assistants, assurances which predictably turned out to have little or no value. That was a crazy justification for a HC hire, which has been my point throughout thus thread, had you taken time to read it.
Of course O will be given a chance. His tenure will be determined by his actual results on the field, like any other coach. Nothing you or I write here will affect that.

How long has Orgeron been HC??? He's secured Aranda, and on the verge of hiring a great OC. He fired Peveto. Brennan will sign w/ LSU. Narcisse has played like 4 games in the last 2 yrs. Maybe Canada opens up other QB recruits. How about seeing how the bowl game goes, and how recruiting ends up in early Feb.? The panties in a wad crowd are really pathetic.
