Ruff. Dont know much about this guy. Only that he likely isn't as good as Chaney.

I remember him being a hot up and comer and then he went to Miami during the Al Golden days and he bombed hard

it's funny how much people (not only our fans but outsiders) dumped on chaney the last 2 years, now that he's gone he's all of a sudden goat-tier.

I mean you're an LSU fan right? Didn't your entire fanbase scratch their head in October at us punishing you in the 1st quarter on the ground then inexplicably not runnign the rest of the game? Holyfield with only 7 carries?

And I'm sure the country saw us the last 2 games against bama jump out to 2 touchdown leads in both games then try to run the clock out the whole 2nd half instead of continuing to do what worked.

I'm not even speaking on coley here, I don't mind the hire but I have no idea if he'll be outstanding our lousy. But it's laughable to suggest that there's "no way in hell" he can't be better than chaney. That's completely absurd.

My only legit concern, putting aside my fan bias and overwhelming sense of MEH, is that Smart would put an offensive mind in place that could function with total autonomy and limit his meddling with the offense

My instincts tell me that will not happen whatsoever with this promotion. I would love to be wrong

it is indeed absurd. and so is your flippant description of why y'all lost to LSU. LSU was the better team that day; it's ok to say it. your DL was one of the few our OL beat all year.

It was always going to be Coley sooner or later after they gave him a raise and the CO title to keep him from going to A&M.

This happened because we were beating the piss out of y’all, not because he was a bad ocAnd I’m not saying that to trash talk. Anyone who understands football knows why y’all quit running after halftime

Yep that’s it. No way Dave Aranda made adjustments or anything.

We didnt stop running after lsu pulled away. we inexplicably stopped inside the 1st qtr

Its weird that your arse is hurting over that statement. I actually saw numerous threads after the game by LSU guys saying WTF why did chaney stop giving the ball to holyfield. But glad he did obviously

I think this shows Smart wants to control the offense. Coley was Jimbo's water boy OC at FSU and he wanted him to come be the same with Aggies. Great recruiter and position coach but he def wasn't a good OC when he took over the offense and play calling at Miami.

Expect more of the same from Georgia offense.
