I don't see anyone comparing Tulane to Vanderbilt. I'd be interested to hear how Tulane folks think about how Vandy fits in the SEC. Vandy pretty much pays for their athletic department out of what they get from the SEC.
My other comment as a NOLA native is if I could go back in time, I'd like to sit the Tulane leadership down back in the late 1950's and tell them how much money they lost and will continue to lose by getting out of the SEC.
