Had Miles left before UF hired Muschamp, I'd be fine with Muschamp. Seriously, we have too many people on here acting like a bunch of women about this head coaching experience shite. This is UF's problem and we have LSU fans fretting that it won't work out.

I don't pay much attention to non-BCS programs or their coaches.

For those saying false. If Miles left LSU tomorrow

Which coaches would you want that would be available and fits your criteria?
Stoops and Petersen probably aren't leaving their programs. Jim Harbaugh is either going to Michigan or the NFL. Dan Mullen has a 13-11 record.

Guys like Stoops aren't gonna be swayed. But I think you look for coaches that turned historically mediocre programs into consistent teams. I don't know much about Gary Pinkel of Missouri, but it seems like if he can win there, he would do very well with more resources.
And I just use him as an example because he seems to be in the same boat as Saban and Miles. (it looks like he would have a helluva buy out, but that is the kind of coach I would look for).

I think if any top program was going to take a risk on an assistant, it was going to be Muschamp. I'm not saying you can just go out and hire any coordinator but you also limit your talent pool when you just look for proven coaches with BCS and NFL head coaching experience with winning records.
Following a coach who was as successful as Meyer may not be the right situation alot of coaches are looking for especially the proven coaches that everybody wants because they may be currently be satisfied with their pay and may really not want to move and uproot staffs and their families.

As for Foley if I was a UF fan id be pretty ready to run this guy out of town. Thats 2 out of 3 football hires that are head scratchers. No matter how muschamp turns out UF should never have to settle for a coordinator
Good thing you are not a UF fan. This is the same guy that hired Donovan and brought in every other coach that has been a part of the best athletic department in the SEC and one of the tops in the country for the last 20 years. Zook is pretty much the only hire that did not work out, and those were completely different circumstances.
Foley is the highest paid AD in the country by a wide margin for a good reason.

there is no excuse for hiring a coach without 1) head coaching experience at a 2) BCS school or NFL and 3) with a winning record. True for me.
False. There have been plenty of great coaches that didn't meet your qualifications such as Tom Osborne, Barry Switzer, Bob Stoops, Bo Pelini, Gene Stallings at Alabama, even a Phil Fulmer, Lloyd Carr or Mark Richt.
