The word probably comes Monday at the earliest. They don't want this to be overshadowed by the Heisman award ceremony.

He was out recruiting hard and had no idea all this was going on until he got back to civilization and saw he had 100 missed calls and 1,000 text messages from Paul Finebaum.

Saban doesn't owe story-starved media members and internet board wackos a damn thing in terms of an explanation for their rampant speculation. Saban is presumably quietly working on employment decisions and likely taking into account what he believes is the best for him and his family, just like any of us would do. Saban doesn't care that you are weirdly obsessed about it and he certainly doesn't have to "explain" anything to you.

I will add that I've got a kid on my select bball team who is the son of a UT Alum/Booster. He has been sending me text updates since Monday. While I do realize that his information is pure UT booster stuff, he has provided some interesting details.

He said that Powers interviewed Saban yesterday. I don't know if that is known or not but just passing the info. Mack's biggest supporters were initially Jamail (his friend, atty, and UT booster) & Powers. The info about Mack being forced out was released as a FU to Jamail. Powers was also told that he can work with them or leave with Mack. He said that UT is already talking to a Dr Robert Witt as a back-up if they have to get rid of Powers. He then said that SABAN wants Witt as he suppossedly gets along well with him. I'm assuming that Witt is currently at UA but is in fact a UT Alum or former employee.

It could come anytime after the UT BOR meeting on Friday. That's how long Mack has to resign on his own.

BTW...I was also told that Austin PD was requested for that meeting.

Now there is a new twist that makes sense. I am getting too giddy over all this shite.
Miles will now prolly go to Texas take Chief, Cam and Wilson and completely deflate me.

Mack's been arguing that Saban isn't the best choice for UT. He is trying to convince them that Saban won't stay for more than 5 years and they are giving him way too much. The biggest FU to Mack is that UT is willing to GIVE Saban a permanent ownership stake in the LH Network. He is crushed by that offer and crying that it's his baby.

Some new developments have Mack possibly (also) getting a piece of LHN.

He has. But given his history nobody will believe him or Terry until UT hires someone else.
