You're assuming this wasn't the plan all along. I think it was the plan from the begining. So that makes it the plan not the "fall back plan"
hope so is true, and if he does get the job, i'll have confidence in him, in the 5 years he was at florida he improved their YPG and passing yards per play, hopefully he can work with the QB situation also or find someone that can

"Actually, if you knew this guy, you wouldn't get too excited about the rumor, He may be right, but so is a stopped clock, twice a day."
=====================
The news director at WBRZ knows Fletcher well, ask him if he is reliable. He is a guest on Tim's show every week, i think it is on Wednesdays.
WWL's sports reporter on the Saints every week on Mondays and a tv sports reporter from Dallas on the Cowboys on Thursdays.

Any news about a Crowton replacement is a great reason to get excited. Miles enjoys cashing big checks more than talking to Gary in the hallway during the week.

There once was a coach named Crowton

The stats frequently proved
That his calls lost their groove
Now he's fired and the fans will start gloatin'

I'm not totally opposed to Gonzales as OC, but I'd prefer someone more proven.
3 years ago we were all jizzing in our pants because we hired a proven guy in Crowton.
So be careful what you wish for.

let that sorry non play calling son of a bitch go.....if miles dont fire him, then miles better grab a number and wait in line because he and crowton may get to leave next year together!

remember 2 yrs ago, LSU fans pissing and moaning b/c they thought Crowton might leave LSU. If the oline isn't alot better next yr, There isn't much a new cood is going to be able to do.

Yes and we always piss and moan how UF uses their talent and we don't so Gonzo could be the answer. Too late for Trindon though

Can't Gonzales still coach wideouts if/when he becomes OC? Why not use the open position to hire a legit QB coach?
This SHOULD happen, but probably wont. Best case scenario......

knowing lsu's bullshite, he is wrong, they will most likely promote BG and then Leslie will find someone to take wideout position job, just boggles me why we rush into hiring so fast instead of looking whats out there! BG can interview for the job, just cause your OC gets fired doesn't mean you deserve the promotion, yet.

Books,
I think you're wrong, Gonzo was hired to be the OC therefore it was the plan, not the fall back plan

quote:this is terrible reasoning to give BG the job
As long as Gonzales does better than about 15 other OCs as far as YPG if he's promoted, he'll do better than Crowton did this year.
