I'm conflicted, I love that A&M is committed to winning. But this much money involved in what should be am amateur sport is shady

It costs way more than normal to build a winner at A&M. In the 80's they did it by overpaying players, now they are trying to do it by overpaying coaches.

I agree. I am happy because it’s my school, and we have been kicked in the dick for so long I want nothing more than to see us win, and I’m sure our boosters feel the same way. But this is pushing the line of sustainable

It's hard to keep up the charade of student athletes and not paying players while paying a DC more than $3 million per year

Nah. Their Athletics doesn't have to keep their academics afloat like LSU does. Like it or not, A&M is on a whole different footing financially than LSU is on both sides, academics and sports.
