Being the football coach at LSU is my dream job too. I'm passionate about LSU football and I really, really want to win championships here too. Should I have applied as well? That'd about all Alleva laid out at the presser.

Naah....
You made a lot of idiots happy today.

When Miles was fired, i suspect 95% of lsu fans would have agreed that "we need an offensive mind at HC"
We did the exact opposite of that.

What's sad is that you don't have to even click the link. It's right there in the section you quoted:
quote:
LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said Friday night. "He is the solid coach and recruiter that we need and I am particularly impressed with his passion for LSU. It is his passion that I know will translate into success on and off the court for our student-athletes."

Did Alleva call our coach as solid and the field as a court?

I'm as unhappy as you, but it ain't gonna change. I'm certainly not rooting against him. In fact, if there's one guy is like to see succeed it's O.

Just like dream schools aren't a real thing for recruits. I do know this is his home though.

I'm not rooting against him, hell despite all of the evidence to the contrary I kept getting on board with Les every offseason. It's a misnomer that anti Les and now anti O people root for failure to be proved right on the internet. We had a chance at a fresh start and just completely botched this whole thing, it sucks.
Hell I've defended Alleva in the past but it's obvious he's a clown.
"I am the search" will be words that haunt that arrogant little prick for many years

Emotions and feelings, feelings and emotions
These are the only things that mattered to Alleva when selecting our next coach.

Exactly. I knew that Les would regress to about 9-3. I'm fairly certain that O's mean is about a .500 record. It doesn't mean I'll ever root against O. But my support or non-support for O does nothing in the grand scheme of things.

How can you argue with this? A quote from Coach O on espn.com.
"Orgeron, 55, is a Louisiana native.
"This is bigger than life," he said. "Driving past the stadium, I just wanted to be an assistant coach here. I just wanted to have my feet on the grass, but I knew once I got here I could earn my way up to being the head coach. I wanted to take it one step at a time, and every step I went, I was preparing to come back home to LSU.
"That was my goal the whole time -- to go out and go to Miami, go to Syracuse, go to USC and prepare to get better. I wanted to come back to be the best football coach I could possibly be when I took this job, and I feel like that happened. I'm prepared to do it.""
To Coach O, this is his destination job. Period. End of story.

How does one go about shoving an internet post up their arse?
Posted on 11/26/16 at 6:33 pm to Carlos Santannaclaus
Sounds like he was scheming to replace miles as soon as he got here

Am I the only person who thought you were referring to Tom Herman at Texas after reading the thread title?
