He’s 60 I get it, His record stands for itself. He will have much more success at LSU and a lot more resources. This is leaps and bounds a better coach than we have had since Saban. I’m excited for our future

Why is this a given? He will be coaching in the SEC.

The negative being that he's too far along in his career to make the changes he may need to make to be competitive in the SEC.

It's okay to be stubborn when you're always the most talented team, but not when the margins are razor thin.

Old as hell, shite offense. Miles 2.0. Exact opposite of offensive guru that will light up the score board.

People keep saying this, but it was true of any name mentioned in the process. Hiring Kelly is just hiring the biggest name possible without any thought of fit or vision for the future. Woodward is and always has been just a checkbook

BK has baggage. Title IX and vacated wins. Not a good look for a school trying to make the NCAA happy.

He's a good solid coach if hired 10 years ago, the problem is culture and its now 2021.

This will probably not end well. See ya in 3-4 years if someone has cash for the buyout.

Its not that he is old, he is old to rebuild a program and he easily looks 10-15 years older. And yes that does matter.

60 is not too old for a football coach.

Ed O is 60.....Saban is 70, Jimbo is 56,.....etc.

I see no negatives, can't wait to see the OC and DC hires.

I agree. This is not a smart hire for LSU long term. It will cost LSU a lot of money long term

60 is getting up there to rebuild a program in the SEC, let alone he looks like he is 70-75, all that does matter. Culturally he is in for a huge shock.

Who needs to rebuild? We are fricking loaded on defense and skill positions

If he can get the line a fraction as good as Norte dame’s than we are elite

Doesn’t recruit well. Hasn’t won many big games. Gets absolutely trounced by top tier teams. He’ll have us at 9-4 to 11-2 every year, but I highly doubt we’ll win a championship with him, which is what it’s really all about.

His OC is in his 20s and his DC is in his 30s. He understands the importance of youth with the players. Should be fine.
