This is a no win situation for Miles

Look-get off Mile's case. Either way its a no win situation-If he just flat out says he's not interested, he's screwing himself and his alma mater. If he takes the interview but decides to stay, some will say he was only trying to get more money. Its either 1 of 2 things...he wants the Michigan job or he really wants to stay here but is taking the interview out of respect for his alma mater and good friend so he can really say he's weighed all the options and really gave it some thought.....that way no hard feelings.

Or he could be using the situation to his advantage to get a better deal from LSU...which is smart.
(not that he has a bad deal, or I think he deserves more money from LSU...just saying...)

Miles is in a win-win...if he goes, he returns to his alma mater with more money.
if he stays, he keeps a program that is currently near the top...and the fact that he is being courted by Michigan will look good for him in the eyes of recruits.

or they said we'll give you $25 million over 5 - would you like to talk? Who really knows what's going on right now. I'm sure they have been in contact with his agent quite a bit but not him. He probably doesn't even know what he wants to do at this time...but he has to listen. He either decides to retire at LSU in 5-7 years or move back to UM. It's a fairly big decision for him that may just take some time.

Good point his dilemma breaks my heart
Kids with cancer should read about Les Miles hard choice when they feel sorry for themselves

Yeah, poor Les.
He's either gonna get a gigantic raise from LSU or a fat contract from Michigan. Lose/lose all the way.

Sorry.....but Chicken is right on this one. Win-win with Miles.

no matter how this turns out I doubt I'll feel sorry for miles or have any ill will against him.

If you don't think he is going to leverage this to get the best possible deal for himself and his family your are very naive.

He needs to be on the phone w/ Timmy J letting him know that he'll be at LSU.

I think he's in a win-win situation. I doubt he cares what people say after the beating the fans gave him this season.

It's not very good for the fanbase either unless you are a drama queen. Heading into the most promising off season in a few years, we are facing a lot of uncertainty. Kinda spoils the mood.

UNLESS.... he leave Michigan and takes the Alabama job when Nicky decides to take one more stab at the NFL...
Then he becomes public enemy #1.
