This hire is career-defining for Woodward

Does Scott hire a great G5 coach (Napier) like WVU hired Neal Brown? How’d that work out?
Does he hire Riley or Aranda (a really good safe choice)?
Does he go for the hire that changes the college football landscape for years to come (Saban, Meyer) and secure his legacy?
Or does he pull off the earth-shaking impossibility of someone like Sean Payton?
I think it’s one of the last two. Certainly one of the last 3. For the record, I do believe the “Sean Payton option” is not on the table, but you have to try.

Surely you're kidding?

I have a better chance of being LSUs next coach than Sean Payton.

How is this thread receiving upvotes? The OP thinks it’s Saban, Urban, or Sean Payton.

Actually I think it’s Urban. The pieces are in place for it. Look at the situation. He’s 2-6, got trapped by a honey pot video, and his NFL trajectory is similar to Saban’s.
He could repeat Saban’s return to CFB now and become in BR what Saban has become in Tuscaloosa.

This is my point. Woodward will never have a moment to make a statement like he does now.

Have enough respect to refer to him by his title and full name. That’s Corch Irvin Meyers.

Woodward has had career defining hires at his last 3 stops - old hat for him.

Literally nothing about hiring Aranda is safe, dudes been a head coach for two seasons and hasn’t exactly lit it up. Huge risk
