There's a chance that Chavis will be here next season

There is also a chance that he will not. I'm now as informative and reputable as belowpar. Everyone needs to relax. There's been nothing substantive regarding Chavis possibly moving on. You guys are just taking something that another poster suggested and are running with it. He didn't say anything definitive and he is no more reliable than anyone else on here.

forgot that you knew Miles was staying during the michigan debacle and knew about the press conference the day of the SECCG before the media, and that Malveto was gone after the Ole Miss game

I swear, its like some out there don't want him coming on here and giving us free info

Free info is fine. But my point is that you guys are taking this free info and assuming it is factual. Anyone can give us free info by starting rumors on a message board. I just don't understand why anyone would read into anything he's saying at this point.

Almost no one on here was claiming he was gone. I saw a lot of "If he's gone who do we hire" or "Why would he leaves", but no one saying "CHAVIS IS GONE!".
That's the problem with some of you acting like that happened. I saw ONE guy on here, ONE claiming an inside source saying it's a done deal and not many took him seriously.

I hear you..
Belowpar is held high because he called the Coach O deal, and his numbers, and then we got outbid...after Kiffin flew to Florida to talk to O.
Below also had Haley and cooper, and then confirmed first that Chavis was on board....so things can change..
He suggested that Crowton could be gone, and then back tracked and said the contract is the only hold up, some don't want to pay 900k to buy him out...too much for an OC...blah blah
so belowpar has been more careful this year about his info, but I believe he is close the situation and developments change....so, we need to keep that in mind
Belowpar has only said "a good guess" as to what is in the fold...meaning Chavis is looking around....so that seems to be clear to me...Chavis may stay, but he is listening and pondering his options....and I hear he likes Miles and LSU, but this decision appears to have deeper roots than meets the eye..

the point is things change overnight, we should know that by now, if we've learned anything dealing with coaching changes

it sounds like he may know Coach Bagglio and/or been a former player for a past SEC Champion (wondering if this was 88). I don't know, just going off some interesting posts.

There's a chance LSU beats Penn State, then again there is a chance they wont. Everyone calm down...

Both Crowton and Chavis will be back. New additions to staff will have positive impact.
We improve in trenches next year. The guys waiting to play will make huge impact. Most have more upside than the one's they are replacing. Anyone replacing R. Alem will be an upgrade.
I expect LSU to control the los next year which has been missing for the previous 2 seasons.
LSU has a great chance to have like a 11-1 type season. I don't expect the loss to be to anyone in particular as we should be competitive and able to beat anyone we play.
If JJ improves over the off season in the football savvy dept and in reading d's, could be a very special year. Special year's generally occur w/ upperclass qb's and that is what we will have next year.
So, w/ no changes at the coordinator level, we improve substantially next year. Just my take.

Don't forget, he knew about the SECCG PC long before anyone else, AND he was the first one to even hint that CLM was considering promoting from within after Pelini was hired by Nebraska AND he was the first to float the dual DCs AND which two internal coaches were being considered for DC/dual DC long before it was official. Some people didn't believe him about the dual DCs until it actually happened. When belowpar said that CLM was letting Malleveto find new jobs rather than have to fire them (again, well before the two found new jobs) people didn't want to believe him...you know, until the two guys found new jobs. belowpar was on here saying "they're just getting new jobs rather than being fired" and no one in the athletic department was saying anything about the situation publicly...and there was much angst on the boards about how Malleveto was staying. Guess who was right in the end? If belowpar says that CLM looked into replacing Crowton but backed off because he's not satisfied with the pool of candidates, I believe him. A similar situation happened when Malleveto was promoted...one of the reasons for the internal promotion, IIRC, was that CLM wasn't satisfied with the other candidates he interviewed and figured at least Malleveto knew the defensive scheme the team was familiar with.
belowpar's earned his cred honestly. Anyone who thinks he's some moron whose just gotten lucky or who has gotten his rep on vague predictions people want to believe either wasn't here a few years ago or is being deliberately obtuse.

How about flat out lies like, "I will not be the next coach at Alabama."
We should all know that things get said and don't materialize and things change day to day. Chavis might have been looking around and decided it wasn't in his best interest to leave, or maybe he just mentioned it, or maybe Richt decided that he didn't want third and Chavis and Chavis decided to save face by saying I was never going anywhere anyway. We don't know. Just roll with the punches people.
