Mack staying thru bowl actually increases the odds of a current NFL coach being the pick.

In other words:

Sean Payton, you're up!!

How much Texas has to spend isn't an issue....they can and will pay the millions needed to hire the coach of their choosing.

this is about as ignorant of a statement as I've heard about this situation.

tejas will NOT be as stupid as you think they will be. this isn't university money but the university has an image to protect and they are VERY tuned in to that image.

lastly, you are making this up. you have NO idea what texas will do.

We get it. NS agreed to a contract extension. But, was he not under contract prior to agreeing to some thing new?

You seem to think that him saying I'll stay in December is more binding than him saying the same thing earlier in the year. A guy that will break a contract, will break one that is a week old just as well as he will break one that is 2 years old.

As far as I can remember none of the NS contracts ever have a buyout clause, he can leave at will.

Contracts today do not mean what they once did.

I do not believe he is leaving UA, but it is not because he made an agreement to not leave. He sees it in his best interest to stay there at this time.

Welp, it seems my thread is anchored.

We'll be talking about Saban to Texas again after Oregon gets through with them though....mark my words.

what does it take to convince yahoos that Saban is going no where?

This is and has always been about getting more money from the gumps- he knew they would pay more he just used Texas to get the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I do think he enjoyed all the media attention- he believes all the press about himself. THat's why after the Aubbie game he threw everyone under the bus cause in his mind there was no way it was his fault

I think fans who have a coach who did not sign a recent extension should be more concerned with their head coach going to Texas. I agree with the OP, Mack is gone after the bowl game.

This whole deal has blown up to epic proportions. Jimmy Sexton used Texas as leverage for a better deal for his client.

It 's just the OP's pride that is hurt. He cannot admit he was wrong so therefore keeps beating the Saban to Texas drum. Give up man and just accept the fact that Saban will be at Bama for the foreseeable future.
