the style of athletes that Louisana produces. You need a coach who can do more than recruit. He has to be innovative and able to adjust coming out of half time. It wont be popular but my choice is Petrino. I dont care that he was unfaithful...most of us aren't. He just got caught and you havent yet... I look at his style of play and the athletes required to fit the scheme and it is a perfect fit. They play tough defense and their offense is the best in the country. Say what you want about the man but he has figured out how to make a national contender out of Louisville. His adjustments in the third against Clemson proved his ability to scheme and adjust on the fly. No doubt, they are one of the best teams in the country. He is proven. Love the potential that is Herman but LSU is rocky right now and Herman may not be what we think he is. Petrino has had success in the SEC as a head coach which sets him apart in my mind.It will be exciting to see the two square off in November.

Petrino has zero reason to leave Louisville. Need to let this one go. He is a POS, but that's not the reason he won't be at LSU.

Do people think that Petrino got fired because of his infidelity?

So Petrino has no reason to leave Louisville but Herman and Fisher do??? Please explain.

Petrino and fisher are in same boat a job in the power 5 already with success. Now Petrino doesn't have the recruiting base that lsu does but fisher does and has recruited great already. dont know much on Petrino as a recruiter but I have heard he doesn't do much of it but I don't know that at all. Now Herman on the other hand isn't in the power 5 and has showed the ability to recruit biggest issue with Herman is can we get him but most people don't think he's staying at Houston

So let me elaborate on Petrinos current job.
1) petrino makes good money at Louisville. Around what les made here.
2) petrino has stated he wants to finish his career at Louisville.
3) this job is his successful homecoming where he can leave his legacy.
4)he has $10 mil. Buyout.
Now on to the LSU side
1) old AD Skip just finished an interview, about a week ago, where he basically hated on Petrino. Almost as a warning to LSU if they thought about it.
2)see point 4 above
3) hiring jimbo would be jimbos homecoming to lsu. Kinda like petrino at Louisville.
4)i believe herman has been covered.
Im sorry but petrino seems to have zero desire to leave, and he's not really cracking most peoples list for the lsu hire. So that's my reasoning on the matter.

Man. You're pretty high and mighty on your other thread about helping hurricane victims, but you want to hire a HC who cheated and further went on to say everyone else does it. How many personalities do you have?
