Honestly with no jokes:
1. Great offensive coach
2. Solid recruiter
3. Players love him
4. Knows how to win with less
5. Brings stability

Great run at Oklahoma State. Consistent high powered offenses.
Recruits well- Dez Bryant, Blackmon Wr. Always gets most out of QBs. Seems to have the it factor.

I don't understand why people wouldn't want Gundy as he knows exactly how to run a great offense and has coached a Power 5 program for 12 years with 4 double digit winning seasons the past 6 years. He's going to make it 5 ot the past 7 years after this year.
He's also done it with middle of the pack recruiting, which will improve greatly just by being the only big dog in Louisiana.
The same QB that Cam wanted (Rudolph), he took. In a 2 QB system last year he put up 3770 yards completing 62.3% of his passes averaging 8.9 ypa with 21 TDs to 9 ints. This year he has 3600 pass yards (9.4 ypa) completing almost 65% of his passes with 25 pass TDs, 5 ints and 5 rush TDs. He also has a freshman RB who has 940 rush yards and 5 TDs, a backup that has 400 rush yards and 7 TDs, and a 3rd string senior that has 230 yards and 7 TDs.
Does anybody remember that from 2010-2012, he had the top 3 scoring offense and top 4 total offense in the country?
Oh, and he's only 49.
The thought that it seems a lot of LSU fans believe our team is above somebody the caliber of Gundy is f**king ridiculous.

SInce both seem to be back up plans, the best thing I can do is compare him to Fedora.
In the last 8 years he's had 6 top 25 finishes with lower talent. One top 5 finish. One top 15 finish. Currently ranked 17th and trending up. He should have won one of his games, but the apposing team got an untimed down that wasn't legit.
He constantly over achieves there. Both Fedora and Holgersen have worked under him at OC. It sounds like our staff is wanting some of that style here considering all of those names have been mentioned.
The only question is his recruiting. He's had pretty close to equal results as Fedora in recruiting, but has more of a track record.
