Not really. There was a LOUD (not large) portion of our fanbase who said this last year, but i think most of us know he is a good coach. I will be curious what sort of buyouts/guarantees A&M offers him.

I think Jimbo is a damn fine coach, but the guarantees and buyouts he will want is gotta be pushing the limits of worth it. Only time will tell but will A&M fans be happy if in year 3 he's only doing slightly better than sumlin? Then you're stuck. Who knows how it will play out in the end, but i don't see jimbo guaranteeing you any hardware.

Mainly because there is FSU-sided rumor confirmation this time around.

FSU has some of the most well-connected insiders in CFB, whether it's recruiting-related or team-related or coaching-staff related.

There wasn't one FSU insider confirming the fire from the smoke coming out of BR.

That was a bigger red flag for me than three confirmed fvcktards DALSU, LSU Random Hero, and Tigers1234(sp?) that were spreading the same unsubstantiated BS in 2016 just as they incorrectly did in 2015.

I think it was more of #1 and #2 argument. I would have been happy with either, tbh. I felt that most people were ok with either even if they preferred one over the other. There were VERY FEW (again, just loud) people who preferred O over both Jimbo and Herman.
