The Five Stages of LSU Coaching Changes
Posted on 1/9/18 at 7:13 am

1. Unfortunately, Miles has to go - just too stubborn.
2. I can't fricking believe we fired Miles to hire O.
3. Look, maybe this "executive" HC thing will work. O has learned a lot since he was at Ole Miss.
4. Damn. This really is a soup sandwich. We're paying Miles, Cameron and Canada MILLIONS to not coach our offense. And now, Ensminger, God bless him, is the OC.
5. Look at the bright side, this means a new regime change is right around the corner.
RIP Golden Age of LSU football. We barely knew ya.

True, but it didn't have to be that way. That was the "High Water Mark" of Les Miles and LSU Football.

The executive HC thing DOES work. Look at Meyer, Swinney, Fleck, etc. It just doesn't work when your head coach is an arrogant moron who would be working as a pipefitter if football didn't exist and the people running your university are completely incompetent and frick up every coaching hire they make

No, Meyer and swinney are deeply involved with offensive gameplanning

Because of the same reaction we are seeing now.

This is different. I think we all understand that.
I was a Miles supporter until very, very near the end. I understand that winning doesn't just "happen."
But, O has never demonstrated he can lead the kind of program we want or reach LSU's full potential. And Alleva had no interest in finding or paying one of those coaches.
So, I'm categorically against firing O (or anybody, really) until Alleva and, perhaps, F. King are gone. New broom sweeps clean.

So is Orgeron

2007 Miles lost the last regular season game at home to Arkansas. Championship level coaches don't do that. 2011 speaks for itself.

Miles won multiple championships at LSU.

pretty much nailed it.
i can't emphasize enough how not firing miles after the 2015 atm game has hurt this program. fire him then you either get jimbo or someone NOT named ed orgeron. and we would be going into year 3 with a real coach. smh.

No he didn't. What else did he win besides a two loss Miracle trophy in 2007?

SEC title in 2007 and 2011. It's not like they just hand those things out to everyone.

We won’t come close to any sort of championship under the watch of O, and people like you still harp on this.

You should add "Coach O blocks loyal fans from twitter" to the list.

Except that Miles literally did win the Championship that year. Also Saban lost his last regular season game as well this year...and won the Championship.

SEC Championships
The equivalent to the Intercontinental Championship in wrestling. A modern day participation trophy.
