I gotta say, in 2+ years of being a member of Tigerdroppings, this is some of the best drama I've ever seen.
We got people reporting stuff from all kinds of different sources.
For those of us without personal insiders, both paysites are reporting conflicting info.
This is fantastic.
In the end, I love the way Miles has let this play out. Keep it close to his vest and play the cards when the time is right.
That's how you conduct a coaching search...

I never saw this.
Scike's site says Chavis has his choice between Clemson and LSU and that he's the top choice...

I disagree. I think that the speculation during the "Miles to Michigan" saga was the best ever. That's actually what pulled me into this place for the first time.
ETA: Although I do like that Les is preserving the mystery

Yeah, that was pretty damn wild too.
There were a lot more halfwits with sources during that time regarding Miles going and who we were rumored to be courting...
I just love that the paysites on this one are completely in dispute. As if the battle between the two wasn't enough...

i think the reason this drama has unfolded was KSU coming in with their deal for VK...i believe he was "the guy" after chavis rubbed miles wrong (likely due to wanting to bring in all of his UTenn staff)
once VK was off the table, miles went back to chavis and dabbled with walker, his #3
as of now i'd say chavis is the guy (mainly b/c willis isn't coming)

this is good stuff, but it's child's play compared to the hell that happened between the ark game and seccg last year. we had people from michigan posting on here and everyone who knew a player was trying to give inside info.

Yeah, last year was much better. I even got my wife interested and she doesn't care anything about football. It was like watching a movie. Every few hours the situation would change. I was hooked on TD that entire week. It was amazing.
The legend of Belowpar was born. There were plane sightings and rumor after rumor. We heard about Saban, Spurrier, Jack Del Rio, etc. It was amazing.
This does not compare.

Don't ruin my fun Lester.

yeah, probably so.
I think it could have been VK's job... but he didn't have the patience to wait it out. Why? I don't know... It's not like the K-State gig is exactly premium... even if it is his alma mater.
What do you think of the potential Chavis hire?

Wow, that's great stuff.
I have no idea who that is either. I only personally know 2-3 people who post on here... and only 1 that does regularly.
That guy must really like what I bring to the table. I don't know if that's flattering... or terrifying.

I started chuckling just thinking about the ridiculous things that were being said due to people "in the know." Saban was real estate shopping (he still has friends here, you know), and Spurrier wasn't sure due to his affinity for golf. It was awesome.
