1) denial and isolation
2) anger
3)bargaining
4)depression
5)acceptance

OU fans (most) are beginning to move into phase 2...it is a slow slide that will pick up speed as we approach Sunday...like a ship sliding out of dry dock and back into water.

Be patient and evaluate which ones are saying what...a couple of decent peeps are mixed in with the trolls.

Eta- but for the rest:

Serious question. Why do you guys want Riley so bad?

His record against teams with similar talent level is flat out bad, frankly.

Is it just the name? Winning the press conference?

I just said why not. He hasn’t proven to be a coach that can beat teams with similar talent levels, and in fact has dropped several games to vastly inferior rosters.

This ain’t the Big 12. He won’t be lining up a vastly superior roster every game.

Never underestimate the power of the 9-3 "family man" head coach and the 10 year contract

I bet these same people complained about the binder - the irony

Bro, Daniel Tosh isn’t coming to LSU. You can get over it now and move on.

Because he’s a massive upgrade over our last two coaches who can’t even tie their shoes, and yet still won a natty. Riley is quite possibly the best offensive coach in college football, something we caught a glimpse of in 2019 but have rarely seen at LSU.

Les Miles and Coach O were able to win Natty's at LSU.

Riley will have multiple in a short span.

Pretty easy to scheme up a bunch of yards and points when you have an elite roster playing against mediocre ones every week, no?

If it becomes official, they will have a full scale meltdown. They might burn the whole place to the ground with how far into denial they are.

Les Miles wasn't a complete idiot 14 years ago
Firing him shook things up for good reason, and people came in to a program with resources and took advantage of it and left

He’s NEVER had a team with similar defensive talent......he will have that at LSU simply recruiting Louisiana and Texas.

Think about that.

Based on some of the OU fan posts that Tunasntiger listed in his thread, I’d say some of them are close to or officially at stage 5.
