He messed it up with UCLA and knew it and wanted to get out as soon as possible and thought he could get an NFL job, but OSU is good enough to get out as a HC at UCLA. He lost the battle with recruits, and everything was going to be really bad. Whoever takes the UCLA job would be getting killed this coming season. USC is running away as the top program for the region of Southern California and areas all around it.
