What makes the Texas job so much better than LSU? Besides them having more money and playing in the weaker conference. I've been seeing so much about how it's almost certain Texas would pull Herman over LSU. As a coach, wouldn't you want to compete in the SEC and play against the best every week? I know LSU is still a top job, just wondering why is Texas so much better compared to us?

How much more simple does it have to be for you to understand it?

If LSU can pay a coach 5/6 mill a year, how much more will Texas be willing to pay? When you're making that much money, it can't make that much of a difference..

For starters...

-Austin vs. Baton Rouge
-Greater Talent (particularly QBs)...Louisiana may have more talent per capita, but the Houston and Dallas metros are about as loaded as it comes
-Greater History and Prestige
-Bigger Fanbase
-Greater Attention: Austin is one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the country. It is currently the 11th most populated city. Who doesn't want to be Top Dog in a major market?

There is their advantage, but they must share Texas talent with many Texas schools and several other states like LSU and Oklahoma. Not easy to meet expectations.

All the money, Austin great place, blah blah, that's all such bullshite.

Yea, money matters but what coach other than Mike price cares about scoring hot poon or great bars. That's the most asinine shite out there.

What makes Texas is they are Texas
Darrell royal
Earl campbell
Freddie Akers
Winningest team in swc history (27 swc titles)
An astounding 32 conference titles including big 12
Most cotton bowl wins (yes cotton used to be a major)
4th most bowl appearances
2nd most bowl wins
4th in all time wins (approaching the 900 club)
129 all Americans
71 percent all time win percentage
Since advent of poll system, ranked 86 percent of the time
17 members in the college football hall of fame

LSU is fine program but if u consider it in the same league as Texas u are a blind homer or ignorant. Texas is a better, more prestigious program and it has nothing to do with money or the dam quality of nightlife there.
Good God people. I can't even believe this is being argued and I assume it is by people from 18 to 22 years of age.

LSU is a good program. It is not Texas.

How much money do you think Texas will throw at him?

They won't pay him more than saban.

We can afford that.

Not an argument, just simply a question. I don't understand what a program did 50 years ago. As of right now, LSU is light years ahead if Texas. I'm not arguing that Texas may be the better job, just wanted to know what makes it the better job.
