Auburn has had some good d lines over the years.
I still don't have a problem with Brick haley. Everyone can be picked apart. He has a n.f.l. background, he's coached in the s.e.c., he's as good as any other d line coach outside of Blake at u.n.c., ogeron, or rodney gardner.
I do like what tubbs said last night. D line is one of the easiest transition from high school to college. it's more about effort there isn't a lot of scheming for the players to learn.
that tells you, get a recruiter that can eval d. line talent and get the type of d lineman that are going to bring it every play more than an x and O coach.
I like josh downs, appears he's the type of d lineman we need. he brought it every play last night.

Hugh Nall is the manager of a construction company in Albany, Georgia. We have a good OL coach.

brining in Nall and Ensminger will give us an experienced contingent OC team should Crowton leave mid-season...

I'll be honest, I don't really see Nall going back into coaching, at least not in the near future. He was starting to get burned out on it the last couple of years - especially the recruiting trips and all that. I honestly think if it wasn't for the fact that he and Tubbs were such good friends, he possibly would have left after the 2007 season.
There was a pretty good interview of him not too long ago that talked about why he took the job as an officer/board member at a trucking company in Georgia. He said he was ready to be able to spend time with his family and not be on the move all the time. He said they only coaching he could see himself doing in the future would be his grandkids' peewee games.
