Tee Martin's resume/skillset is eerily similar to Dabo Swinney's circa 2008

- Neither are/were regarded as great schemers in regards to X's and O's.

- Dabo had no experience as a coordinator before becoming HC. Tee is in his 2nd season as OC at USC.

- Both climbed the ladder coaching receivers.

- Both made a name for themselves as elite recruiters.

- Both have charismatic personalities and are loved by their players.

- Dabo was 39 years old when he took over at Clemson. Tee is currently 39 years old.

- You could even argue that Tee has had to work much harder than Dabo did to rise up in the coaching profession after his pro career ended.

Dabo was associate head coach so they clearly thought he had skill as a head coach.

They thought that highly of him but did not trust him with the keys to the offense?

Interesting point.

Tee Martin would last 4 years max. The next coach is entering a near impossible situation

This reminds me of the LSU fans that kept comparing Orgeron to Saban after the Troy loss because Saban lost to UAB in his first year at LSU.

Because they had one?

They made him AHC and then made him interim after firing Bowden then made him permanent so it's clear it was planned.
