TD posters spittin big names and they never happen..

Every time we hire at LSU we throw out this huge wish list..They rotate from guy to guy on this board on how he will stack championships if he were here...Or if we got this guy his offense would kill...Or what about this guy, he's winning at Michigan State! He has beaten at least one winning team!!!
We never get those guys and we have to hire way down the list..It's proven...What will make this hire any different? Oh so you are putting your money on Woody like he is so great??? He locked T A&M in with Jimbo for 10 years....Yea !!! A 9-3 coach locked in for a decade? Might be what you want but not me. Wait Jimbo has won a NC...oh wait..so has Les Miles and Coach O.
Don't want to argue these are just like everyone else's..they are just opinions from what we have done since Charlie Mac..

Could not have said it better. LSU is one of the premier programs in the country....top 5, maybe. But it's my experience that coaches have a different set of criteria from non coaches on this board. When Saban came in, it was not the money as the deciding factor.

I'm new here so take this with a grain of salt like I'm sure you will.
LSU is two seasons removed from the greatest season in the history of college football. That being said the past two seasons have been an eye opening experience to LSU'S handlers. The 2019 season is like catnip to not only the fans but to the powers that be. College football has changed dramatically in two years, the social tension aspect, the money going to players, all this is new to college programs and the coaches that run them. That being said, Scott is a man that can see 3 moves ahead and he knows he needs a coach that has the experience dealing with paid athletes and the social differences that influence locker rooms. Expect someone with that experience and intelligence. Expect a professional.

Few people on this site want Jimbo Fisher as our head coach and this has been commented on daily. I think the point you are making has been made ad nauseum.
