When a coach's success is predicated on a talent advantage provided by their recruiting acumen, jumping to the pros is ill-advised for a couple reasons: Probability of success in the pros is limited and job hopping can limit the recruiting success when you inevitably drop back down to college.

Is Kirby's success based on his football smarts or his recruiting ability?

Does Kirby have Saban's agent? This was SOP at the end of every season while he was at LSU.
