This!!! Absolutely agree. Also, why does anyone even assume Dave would even want to come back? That’s the part I find interesting. You know, it is possible that he and other coaches might not want to have anything to do with us. We’re always listing the reasons why we’re great, but we do have some issues going on.

Conflicting reports. Some say Orgeron threw him overboard. Could have incentivized him to stay...had those conversations...

Several reasons, not less the idiot at the helm.
O was far more damaging than people realize. I’d like to throat punch that non-LSU man myself.

So how would we have been able to keep Aranda when he's being offered an HC job?

Well I mean his kids still come back here and he said he enjoyed his time here very much.

He was AhC and DC here and one of the highest paid coordinators in the country. What else could we have realistically incentivized him with if he wanted to be an HC?

Spent time with his family on holidays. They were dialed into BR….

I do not doubt that but I find it pure idiotic from the outside looking in that they cost themselves $17M to hire a coach they could have transitioned to for free at any point in the last 5+ years...
but you know, common sense aint so common.

When you factor in O, things get squirrelly.

"Hey, first sign of trouble we dumping this Mfer. How about you stick around."
You know...kind of how we got Ed. We could have hired Aranda right out...

I definitely understand that our options were limited to say the least. What is he supposed to say publicly? I hated LSU and the retard I reported to? Everyone knows you can’t talk negatively about your previous employer. That’s just simple business ethics. I’m not saying he doesn’t love LSU, but only he and a few people at LSU probably know the answer to that. I’m confident we as fans are not privy to that.

Huh? I am not sure what you mean. O's buyout was his buyout. How could LSU "transition" from O to Aranda without firing O and paying him?

So Aranda was supposed to wait around for LSU right after the HC won a championship in hopes he messes up and gets fired when he had a good offer for HC right in front of him?
That's not how we ended up with O.

True but why put up a billboard and why are your kids still coming back here if you and your family hated LSU? He didn't have to put up a billboard. I think it's much more likely he truly did enjoy his time here even if he wasn't a fan of O.

If this is the Adam that I think it is then this is legit

Has he proven to be right before?

Probably less than that.
I normally don't go on other team's boards, but I was told tonight, that Lincoln Riley informed OU he plans to leave for LSU. He's been mulling it for a few weeks, but has decided it's time, at least from what's been said in the AD. OU reports likely won't say anything on this, because it's Bedlam week, but it's over and they are moving to finding a replacement internally.
Expect a flight from BR to Norman this week. From my understanding, likely going to be Wednesday. This will be to finalize the paperwork.

I’m just having a flashback to all the posts where people said this type of shite about Vitello and no one said Johnson. Wish I could believe this post, but yeaaaaaaaa
