Does the athletic department realize that A.) Hiring a coach is a two part process and the team needing a coach has to give up money AND the desired coach has to want leave where he is to come to LSU B.) LSU has to come up with a lot more money than the desired coach is being paid now C.) LSU is not the only school out there that needs a coach and is willing to pay

No. Scott Woodward, who has successfully pulled off numerous high profile coaching hires, does not realize any of this.

I started this post as a mostly tongue-in-cheek statement with a tinge of reality. As time goes on, it looks like some of the prized coaches have signed new contracts, some have said "No" and some will sign with other teams (Florida, USC) which seems like it leaves us in a harder position to hire the "big splash" coach that everyone said was coming. Do y'all think we are in a better position, worse position, or about the same position to hire that we were in a few weeks ago?
