Harbaugh will never go to Michigan.
Meyer will never leave Florida.
Saban will never coach Alabama.
Carroll will never leave USC.
Fulmer will never leave Tennessee.
Durant will never play for GS.
Mack Brown will retire at Texas.
Les Miles will retire at LSU.
For whatever reason, things change and people move on. As LSU fans, we shouldn't discount ANY names at this point (other than Saban). Lets just hope Alleva makes a rare wise choice on this one!

People need to understand that any comments from coaches at other schools about LSU means nothing at this point. Nothing. Reporters asking Fisher and Shaw are desperately fishing for something.

has anyone actually said the things in your OP?

Plenty of people have, and they were all wrong. Hell, I've read several posts JUST THIS AFTERNOON making the claim that David Shaw won't leave Stanford. So thank you for clarifying my point wise guy.

Yea I find it funny that during the season, a coach is asked if he is interested in the LSU job. The coach says no and people on this board say "well that's it, cross him off the list. See lsu isn't a great job." Of course every coach will say no right now. Miles said he wasn't interested before he came to lsu

quote:Wut? Saban himself said he wouldn't be the coach at Alabama. He must have been trolling himself.

well the higher ups in the 49ers organization didn't like him, so that caused that...

Meyer will never leave Florida.
Tebow graduated...that caused that...

Saban will never coach Alabama.
NFL didn't pan out for him as expected...

Carroll will never leave USC.
NFL came calling and he's done well...and Reggie Bush

Fulmer will never leave Tennessee
got pushed out due to stagnant results on the field.

Durant will never play for GS
player who desperately wants a ring...

Mack Brown will retire at Texas.
got pushed out for under-performing...
YES, things change but nothing is ever set in stone. we get the moral of the story...thanks.

yes we should... Briles and Petrino should be added to that list...NEITHER SHOULD COME TO LSU nor should we ask!
